Prayers of Forgiveness

A moving meditation practice of prayer using synchronized chanting, music, and movement. We invoke specific spiritual energies through sound and intention. The meditation is intended to be a spiritually healing prayer experience as we ask for forgiveness for every breath we have taken without remembering the divine unity of this reality.
We sing, whirl, and dance together in prayer to help each other polish our hearts, clarify our minds, and remember the ways we are intimately connected to God. If you are unable to stand in the circle or engage in the physical movements, know you can still fully participate by simply sitting and being present with us.
We begin at 7:00 and welcome you to join us. God willing we will have time to chat afterwards over tea. Please wear comfortable, modest clothing. $15 Love Donation at the door. $10 for students and seniors with ID. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Regaining Peace and Balance During the Chaos Presidency: A Small Group Intensive

Does the chaos of the Trump administration leave you frayed? Has your quality of life suffered? Do you sometimes feel hopeless? All are natural reactions to the trauma we are currently experiencing. However, it is possible to rediscover your own center and find balance amidst the turmoil.

Using a combination of Buddhist teachings, meditation and mindfulness, and experiential exercises we will examine how today’s chaos personally affects us. Individually, you will identify and re-animate your overarching values so that they can become an anchor in this turbulent sea of change. Finally, you’ll learn grounding techniques that can be used on a day-to-day basis to restore peace and balance and improve the quality of your life. 

This is a small-group intensive examination limited to 14 people.

Reimagining Recovery // Conference Room

This group is for people wanting to be involved in creating a community around recovery in Portland, Oregon. We're striving to create an alternative model to 12-step programs, SMART recovery, Refuge Recovery, and more. What makes this project unique? We want to start a group which puts the focus on recovery for EVERYONE, whether or not you identify as having mental health or addiction issues. There will be classes and discussion focused on practical coping skills, grounding and mindfulness practices, self care, how to set boundaries, self-empowerment-- really, things that everyone could stand to learn or brush up on.

All of this is being presented as an ongoing experiment, and subject to change. We want to empower others to start similar groups where they are and adapt them to that particular community's needs. Join the conversation!
