FIRE Circle, is a therapeutic group that sparks conversations among adolescent who identify as being on the Autism Spectrum. The group is led by Kimberly Zeszutek, LPC, and creates space for youth to process presented topics while intentionally cultivating peer support and develop social skills. Together, we will recognize our own potential by exploring assumptions we have of ourselves and assumptions often put upon those with Asperger’s, Aspie traits, and Neurodiverse. Adventures to Mt. Tabor will also be incorporated to build connection within the group, and build a personal connection with nature. Some topics covered: building new relationships, sustaining current relationships, suicidal ideation, self-care, mindful speech, identifying long term goals. Also offered is 1-2 parent sessions with adolescent present or permission from the adolescent, where Kimberly will review social skills they are working on, and how parents can continue encouraging applying these skills in the community.
